The film is a bit cliche but definitely didn't deserve the hate it got during release. Mostly since despite taking a while to find itself; the film is a good ghost movie. With plenty of chills and thrills. A bit wannabe Hitchcock but I wish movies like it came out more often nevertheless.

In the beginning i didn't had high expectations But after a little while It had great suspense that had me on my edge of my seat till the very end. Really liked it, the movie was far better then i expected.

It's surprising to me to see this with such low reviews. It's a solid psychosexual thriller. It's basically Zemeckis doing Hitchcock. He's not knocking it out of the park, but he's doing it well enough. Pfeiffer also kills in it.

Not a blood-and-guts horror movie >phew< but more a thriller-with-a-ghost movie. Lots of tense moments, a few twists and turns. Good story, good acting, good tension. This is a second viewing for me. I give this film a 7 (good) out of 10.

What Lies Beneath (2000) - ❤x5 This is not a horrible movie, it's just a type of movie i don't like very much. An unsupportive, condescending, dismissive spouse - usually the husband. I suppose it's to highten the drama and suspense - although here i do suppose he had a reason to act that way - but I for one really hate it. And even though it's "only" 24 years old - it feels more like it's 50 (that's a bad thing). And finally - it drags on way too long. I've droned on about this one too long already and someone is gonna hate my comments - but I really did not like this particular movie. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
