_The Little Drummer Boy Book II_ is a lazy and uninspired sequel. After witnessing the birth of Jesus, the Little Drummer Boy travels with the wise men to see a bell marker who has crafted several silver bells for the occasion; but when they arrive at the bell maker’s shop they learn that Roman soldiers have stolen the bells and they try to help the bell marker get them back. It’s a rather pointless story that goes nowhere, and the characters have been redesigned (and not for the better). A poorly made Christmas special, _The Little Drummer Boy Book II_ is one of the worst films to come out of Rankin/Bass.
