What even is Nicole Kidman anymore? She's played the same character in almost all her projects, and each one is more disappointing than the last. Simple, straight-to-streaming garbage, so don't expect much. I can see the director's artistic vision, but it's so random. You have to infer several metaphors about parenting, marriage, and affairs, as well as things I can't mention because it solely relies on them for any mystery. Not much is explained, and plot lines don't survive past five minutes. I wouldn't mind the slow pace if the ending weren't completely underwhelming. Great ideas, awful execution.

It's not terrible, except the ending. The ending is borderline terrible. If it was the ending to season 1, then OK. The ending to a film... yeah no.

The movie is not terrible, visually appealing, just a one and done watch for me though. One of those movies where it makes sense for streaming.
