Starts off a good teen haunted house movie. Way above average. First half is esspecially great. Gets a little generic near the very end. That's the problem with movies that rely on action horror as the end sometimes - it doesn't age well. It's no big deal just a missed opportunity. It's very moody and atmospherically shot. The soundtrack is good. Linnea Quigley is hot. It's a sexy movie.
3 Thoughts After Re-Watching ‘Night of the Demons’: 1. I originally watched this as a kid while it was randomly on HBO or something. I was equally intrigued _and_ creeped out. And while it may not hold the same weight now, I can still appreciate its b-movie awesomeness. 2. The bad acting is apparent, but that more-so contributes to the film’s cult status than takes away from it. If anything bogs the film down, it’s the dragging out of various scenes and its hesitancy to get to the point. 3. For its time, the film stands out when it comes to visuals. Whether it’s the practical makeup and effects, or the scene where all the characters speak through broken mirror fragments, or Angela floating down the hallway, or her ritualistic strobe light dance, or the use of shadow and camera movements… it’s clear that whoever worked on this knew what they were doing.
You'll know from the first five minutes how much you're gonna like it. Buckets of cheese and trash, all with that 80s glean. Above-average for it's ilk, with some good practical effects and gore. Pure fun dumb entertainment. Great ending.
Fun rock n roll horror movie. A tad above average. It's earned its reputation.
Fun little 80’s romp. Big Linnea Quigley fan, so good to see her in this and her “lipstick” scene. If you like moves like Demons you’ll probably like this one too. I’d say little less gore and more T&A but still a decent film.
