nasty as hell with a WIDE variety of body horror and assorted ailments, (occasionally) funny, memorable music and dialogue. a bit of an australian horror gem, for sure. a bit all over the place (was kinda into the part where it was channeling TCM2 or Hills Have Eyes with the family more than the suburbia hell type shit) but it all comes together in the end. can only imagine the shock if one had seen this on VHS or through a rip of one only to eventually revisit it in higher fidelity. some of those effects, fucking god.

I can only assume that Philip Brody was 15 when he wrote this as it’s the only way it makes sense to me. The plot is all over the place, maybe they were taking V too? Some may say cult, I say crap. Repo Man is cult, Robocop is cult, Evil Dead and Brain Dead. This, nah. It’s not even hitting it as a comedy. Wacky characters and rednecks is all you get, and Harold Bishop saying “F**k”.

Another wacky gross-out horror/comedy. It's ridiculous, but kind of funny. I did really like the social commentary on health food freaks and how naive they can be.
