This film belongs to Priyanka Chopra. Completely and unapologetically. Sonia Roy is cold, calculated and magnetic in a way that made people genuinely uncomfortable - and that's exactly the point. She understood the assignment better than anyone else in the room. A star-making performance that proved she was far more than just a pretty face. The courtroom sequences are genuinely gripping. Paresh Rawal as the lawyer is an absolute delight to watch. Bold subject for 2004 Bollywood. Doesn't always land perfectly but the ambition alone deserves credit.
