For that rating the movie is not that good. mediocre
The Brothers Bloom is an ingenious con artist film from writer/director Rian Johnson. After giving up the trade two brothers reunion for one last con, but reality begins to blur as this time the con may be too real. Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo, and Rachel Weisz form a great cast, and really work well together. The writing is also quite impressive, and is full of clever, snappy dialog. Additionally, the film has an interesting aesthetic that has a classic but timeless look to it. A brilliant and well-crafted film, The Brothers Bloom is fun and entertaining. “The perfect con is one where everyone involved gets just the thing they wanted.”
Rachel Weisz played that weirdo role so well. The comedy hits occassionally too. It just may not be for everyone.
Rian Johnson’s The Brothers Bloom is a delightfully quirky con-man caper that thrives on the infectious chemistry between leads Rachel Weisz, Adrien Brody, and Mark Ruffalo. While it may not be a cinematic game-changer, it delivers the stylish, fast-paced fun fans expect from Johnson’s filmography. At times, the meticulous production design and eccentric character beats make it feel like an intentional Wes Anderson parody, but the film’s genuine heart and whimsical energy ensure it remains a thoroughly good time.
It's a little hard to follow what is going on most of the time.
