WOW - this isnt the most harsh of the "Post nuclear bomb" movies from the 80s. (That one is a tie between the Day After and Threads). But it shows that while people might not be in the direct line of fire when the bombs go off, the after effects play a role in the lives of everyone. And after watching this, I feel the need to stock up 6 months worth of MREs, Bottled Water, Batteries, and meds.
Expected something way better, most disappointed at just how far below ALL other movies of this setting that I've seen. Very much a scratch of the surface compared to Threads, The Day After, When the Wind Blows, and even The Golden Mile, and felt like the ending wasn't really earned in terms of emotional attachment etc. Worth seeing once? Maybe, but not missing anything at all if never see, save for seeing an even younger Lukas of Witness fame.
