The whole "President Clinton" thing, as well as the "Mister Backlund" thing wasted no time in getting old. Bob Backlund has already proven that he's too old to carry anything inside the ring; granted, he had his time in the spotlight and carried the WWF title for a while but seriously, he's just old news and I'm tired of the whole schtick. Make him disappear, please. Same thing for "the President": everyone knows it's an impersonator (a good one, I will admit) but the whole thing was just silly to begin with. As far as Dustin Runnels and his "Golddust" character, it's kind of surprising - and repulsive - that the WWF would allow him to wear such an obscene outfit with his junk being so blatantly on display, especially touting the WWF as a "family-friendly" show. I'm not averse to the Golddust character but for crying out loud, can't you put something on him to cover that nasty. Nobody wants to be forced to look at that. The Survivor Series has never been my favorite WWF pay-per-view event, and this one was little different. I _will_ say, however, that the tag team match involving the return of The Undertaker was very entertaining, and so was the championship bout between Bret "Hitman" Hart vs "Diesel" (Kevin Nash). I have to hand it to Kevin Nash: for being as huge a guy as he is, he didn't rely on his size and stature alone; he knew how to entertain and how to sell a move. Poor ol' Sid Eudy ("Sycho Sid Vicious") should have taken some lessons. (He was great to watch but he couldn't sell a match to save his life.) I'm not sure who was writing the storylines at this particular time but you have to give them credit for not being afraid to bend some boundaries. Good guys (Bret Hart) breaking the rules, "bad guys" (Diesel) screaming for help, friends being forced to face off against one another (Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon)... this was (IMO) a very entertaining card and well worth sitting through (with the exception of the silly "President Clinton" sub-story; that was just stupid.)
