old-age makeup is so distracting.

I wish they used two different actors instead of the "old person makeup", but it's okay. Movie is actually fairly decent, but falls a bit apart towards the end. It's especially frustrating how clueless Dulce is acting. [spoiler]She almost messes it up with her kid, and also her quote after is so nonsensical... "I caused all this. Do you think I did the right thing?" - wtf are you talking about? I mean she's really having a moral dilemma about saving her son from the stepdad? Or saving him by helping to cure his disease? And how did you "cause" time travel??? Ugh...[/spoiler]

This gives the impression of being a Horror movie and some might consider it to be. It was really more of a drama with a couple of creepy sequences. It's not scary or gory and features some enjoyable acting, but overall it's not going to scare you if you watch the occasional Horror movie.

If you watch this movie because it is a horror movie, I don't think you will like it very much, but the overall movie is great. I enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't like was the makeup.

Not too creepy for a horror, a little rustic for a thriller, well, it's not one or the other. More like a fantasy about mother's love and Time. An interesting and tragic story, an elegant puzzle for the mind. Which, when you already understand what it is, becomes logical from the beginning to end. Magic Realism
