This is way better than the ratings. The acting could've been better but they were so young back then. The soundtrack sucked or the movie probably would've done better. I saw it when it first came out and just watched it again. Hard to believe it was 35 years ago

Relationship drama that is pretty obvious, and by-the-numbers, though it doesn't fall into the typical romantic comedy trappings that these things usually do. It has a more realistic outcome, and that is appreciated.
