I can understand why this used to top the IMDb Bottom Rated List. It's a negatively ludicrous action film w/ amateur cinematography features such as repeating scenes, lines, & sound effects. I've heard the screeching bird sound enough times to think the foley artist is repeatedly pressing a button. Also the female dancers are out of shape; any producer or director should address that if any actress is to bare bellies in any movie, even Bollywood, but since this is a substandard movie they likely didn't give a damn. Incidentally I actually have seen a lot of Bollywood movies once a local channel a few months ago began airing Indian stuff from news to local talk shows to Bollywood cinema around 9 pm. So I've seen some terrible Bollywood films like this one (although I've seen this on YouTube; I've actually seen the better original on Diya TV), and decent films I can only rate as so-so since I'm not that much of a Bollywood fan.

It is a loud, outdated remake that forgot to update anything except the budget. The film tries to recreate 80s masala charm, but instead comes off as noisy, exaggerated and completely disconnected from modern sensibilities. Ajay Devgn does what he can, but the over-the-top tone, weak writing and forced comedy drag everything down. Tamannaah is reduced to decoration, and the villain feels more cartoon than threat. It’s not nostalgic, it’s just tiring. A remake that misses both the past and the present.
