The soundtrack is great. The dance scenes are fun. Everything else is kinda meh. I thought it would be better with how relevant it is in pop culture.

“Footloose” had one of my favorite soundtracks, nearly everything charted on the Top 40. And the Dolby 5.1 mix of the songs on the movie sound WAY better than the released soundtrack. You can especially tell with the way all the vocals are spread out across the soundstage. Good movie, great songs!

One of the great classics of dance movies. Even though the base story is rather stupid, the movie works mainly due to the excellent performances of the main cast.

A feel-good movie with a fun little story and good music. I love the '80s in movies so that helps as well.

Quite the iconic Kevin Bacon role and deservedly so! An incredibly well rounded film that I enjoyed start to finish. I can understand why they made a reboot, but this one really didn't need it with how well this holds up nearly 40 years later. Rating: 3.5/5 - 8/10 - Would Recommend
