While it doesn't reach the magnificent heights as Coogan's three hilarious classic Alan Partridge series (Four if one counts The Day Today, which I do) Alpha Papa still has more than enough going for it to make it one of my favorite comedies of 2013, one that is easy to revisit every now and then.

Steve Coogan brings his BBC character Alan Partridge to the big screen in this satirical British comedy. When his radio station is taken hostage by a disgruntled employee who was fired, radio DJ Alan Partridge is asked to help serve as negotiator throughout the crisis. Both Coogan and his co-star Colm Meaney give great performances. And the comedy is fairly well-done, doing a good job at mixing dry humor with slapstick. However, the writing’s a little weak doesn’t seem to know where the story’s going at times. Yet even with its problems, Alan Partridge is entertaining and delivers plenty of laughs.
Not a bad attempt at bringing Alan to the big screen. Many funny moments, and the return of Micheal and Lynn since I'm Alan Partridge, the TV show concluded. Ah-Ha!
pretty weak, not worth watching in the end. Doesn't compare to a single episode of the show
