It's great to get the chance to watch some of these old early UFC cards so you can see where some of the "greats" get started. Matt Hughes was always a favorite of mine - even though he's something of a dick, to be honest LOL - and he proved here (they said this was his _"second time inside the UFC octagon"_ so I'm assuming his first match must've been either an unaired prelim or a dark match?) to be a dominating fighter in the UFC. Some of the matches were okay (at best) but that snoozer of a match between David Dodd and Tyrone Roberts was as exciting as watching paint dry in a room full of humidity. Typical match where _"One of you is scared and the other one's glad of it"_ …they just plodded around looking at each other, scared to try anything. First UFC card that I've seen where a fighter actually got himself disqualified after numerous fouls. Same thing can be said for that "championship" match (what a joke) between Kevin Randleman and Pedro Rizzo: neither one of those lumbering idiots deserve to be called "champion" of anything; in fact, based on that match, they should have stripped Randleman of the belt right then and there and told him, _"Come back and see us when you're ready to FIGHT like a champion."_ Fans were boo'ing and throwing trash into the octagon and I don't blame them; it's too bad they couldn't throw Randleman and Rizzo OUT of the octagon. I realize this is 22 years old and don't know (nor care) whether either of these goons are still around or not but if they are, I hope they're still embarrassed and ashamed of this match...and I hope neither of them is still referring to himself as a "fighter" of any kind. This was ridiculous. Apart from getting to watch some more of the early UFC cards, there was absolutely **NOTHING** about this card that deserved 2 hours of anyone's attention. Glad I'm finding these online and not paying for this garbage... If you're interested: https://youtu.be/yguzBWgUoAw
