WWE Saturday Night's Main Event XLIV was a pretty good card, especially when you consider it wasn't officially a PLE. In some ways, that may have actually worked in its favor. The biggest positive was once again the pacing. The matches were given the right amount of time, the show moved efficiently, and nothing felt unnecessarily stretched out. Ironically, the match lengths and overall flow felt more appropriate than much of what WWE presented during WrestleMania 42. The stakes weren't as high, and that's naturally going to limit how memorable the event can be in the long run. But when the wrestling is good and the show is easy to digest, that matters a lot. Not every event needs to be a massive spectacle. This was a strong example of WWE delivering a quality wrestling-focused show without overcomplicating things.
