Good. Good actors. It's interesting, funny, not always realistic though, perhaps a bit too silly at times. But perhaps more believable than *Where eagles dare* where another German castle is attacked. Motley mix of light moments and untamed violence (cloaked by some drastic censorship which lets fighting look too clean). Like in most of those movies many Germans speak very strange German. And of course the Germans have an annoying klaxon. And of course every American seems to have an unlimited supply of ammunition. And of course Germans are heavily short sighted or something.

A classic testosterone loaded WW2 fictional movie. Good entertainment.

This movie is like Full Metal Jacket, in the sense that the first half is better than the actual mission.

The film created a school of thought in the type of films with training and mission.
