That final chase went through at least five suburbs if it went from Altona to the CBD. I guess they edited all that out. Anyways, Altona is and was a pretty sleepy bayside suburb, not as violent or grimy as the film suggests but I do admire the directors imagination in creating such a stylish tale about so called suburban despair with a borderline intellectually disabled main character. Aussie film would be so better off if we had directors with such off the wall ideas being funded as this is incredibly cool but alas.
