“All You Need Is Kill” is a visual treat, with vibrant art, a dynamic score, and sharp voice acting that make the viewing experience exhilarating. The sci‑fi plot isn’t anything original, but when read as a metaphor for mental health, it gains emotional depth. To me, Keiji and Rita embody two different forms of depression: Keiji who laughs to please everyone, masking his pain behind a smiling front, and Rita as bold and raw but fiercely resistant to help, insisting on carrying her burden alone. They repeat self destructive loops until they slowly realize they don’t have to suffer in isolation. All You Need Is Love.
