From my perspective, this documentary is a fascinating, well shot portrait that humanizes Melania Trump in ways we rarely see - her focus on family, her thoughtful approach to the transition, and those personal touches amid the chaos. The production values are high, and it feels like a rare, unfiltered window into her life and priorities. My advice: Approach it without political bias. Don't go in expecting a hit piece or a puff piece watch it open-mindedly as a documentary about a complex figure navigating extraordinary circumstances. You'll get more out of it that way, whether you agree with her or not. It's worth checking out for the unprecedented access alone.
very well made movie, see a side of her the most people dont know. its a shame people are giving it bad review for none other then their political views
A Soul-Sucking, Overpriced Sham That Proves the Trumps Will Sell Anything for Cash I endured this 104-minute exercise in vanity and nausea so you don’t have to. Melania isn’t a documentary—it’s a meticulously staged infomercial for one of the most enigmatic voids in public life, directed by the disgraced Brett Ratner (yes, that Ratner, the one tied to Epstein circles and MeToo fallout). We get endless shots of high heels clicking through gilded halls, Melania staring blankly into mirrors like she’s auditioning for a wax museum, and zero actual insight. It’s airbrushed propaganda so shallow it makes a puddle look deep. Critics are destroying it: NPR calls it an “airbrushed and astronomically pricey portrait,” The Guardian labels it “exhaustingly boring and chillingly vain,” Variety wonders why anyone spent $75 million on something this dull, and The New York Times says you’re no closer to knowing her after watching than before. Rotten Tomatoes sits at a pathetic 7-8% from critics—deservedly rotten—while audience scores are suspiciously inflated by what looks like obvious review bombing from bots and diehards. But the real vomit-inducing part? Donald Trump and his family reportedly pocketed $28 million from Amazon out of the $40 million licensing fee—more than 70% going straight to Melania herself. Amazon overpaid by $26 million over Disney’s bid, then dumped another $35 million into marketing this disaster, turning the whole thing into a $75 million bribe disguised as entertainment. Bezos and company clearly bought goodwill to dodge antitrust heat or whatever regulatory favors they crave from the administration. It’s corruption so blatant it stinks—while the country grapples with real crises, the Trumps cash in on a vanity project no one asked for. The film is bombing hard: projections say it’ll scrape maybe $5 million worldwide opening weekend, theaters are showing empty seats (people posting screenshots of ghost-town screenings), presales tanked, and crew members are already regretting involvement, calling production chaotic. South Africa pulled it amid diplomatic fallout, and even X and Reddit are flooded with memes mocking the flop—fake reviews, defaced posters, jokes about preferring to rewatch January 6th for actual drama. This isn’t art; it’s a disgraceful grift. Melania reveals nothing new—she’s still the same detached, fashion-obsessed figure we’ve always seen, now weaponized to launder millions into family pockets. Boycott this trash. Cancel your Prime if you have to. The Trumps turned curiosity about a First Lady into a personal ATM, and Amazon happily footed the bill. What a vile, hypocritical embarrassment to cinema, journalism, and basic decency. 0/10—worse than worthless; it’s actively insulting.
It's finally here. Jeff Bezos' $75 million bribe to the most corrupt administration ever. A movie about Melania Trump; who is in the Epstein files, married to Donald Trump; who is in the Epstein files and directed by disgraced sex-pest Brett Rattner; who is also on the Epstein files. EPSTEIN-TASTIC! This is so bad, that they are paying people $50 to book tickets. So on brand for the griftiest of families. At present, on iMDB (one of Jeff Bezos other purchases), the "movie" does not show a rating, or allows to leave a review. Weird, huh?
Love me a doc on a woman who loves isreal and pedophiles. Guess that’s what happens when your Mossad handler Jeffrey Epstein sold you to Donald?
