This could be the Ford vs Ferrari of kind of flick if it were made better. Don't get me wrong, it's worth watching. There's just too many cheesy moments that cheapen the film. And I don't mean the kind of cheese that pairs well with a fine wine. Oh, no. I'm talking about stupid filmmaking tricks where they try to be funny or emphasize a point that just don't work all that well. With some refinement, this could be a much better film. It's a good story that is pretty predictable, but worth watching for what I consider to be an evening's worth of entertainment. Not bad at all, just not as good as it could and should be. Oh, and that bad wig on Chris Pine just ruined his character. It was like they slapped a horrendous hippie wig on him and told him to act like Brad Pitt. It just didn't work and ruined the character... no fault of the actor though. I would suggest though that you stick with this because the bad filmmaking aspects are mostly early on. It does get better later on which makes this well worth watching as an evening's worth of entertainment. Have your favorite glass of wine by your side while watching. Preferably, a good chardonnay.
