Ever since The Fast and the Furious came out in 2001, Fast & Furious was the sequel I was hoping for. With four of the main cast members from the original film back Fast & Furious was just as entertaining as the first and better than 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift. Fast & Furious geared down on the usual street racing the franchise was built on and instead focused on a darker and compelling story line than previous films in the series. The lack of racing in involved in this film sucked but overall I can appreciate the change in format. The acting was stepped up a bit and while there were less street racing involved, there were plenty of action to go around. This shift in format brought new life for future sequels in the franchise to come.

r.i.p. Paul Walker You've lived Fast & Furious...

Going through the series in case I missed one. There are way more than I thought. When the hell did they make all these. Pretty sure I've seen this one. Having more unique titles would certainly make it easy to remember which ones I've seen.

>"Are you one of those boys who prefers cars to women?" "I'm one of those boys that appreciates a fine body, regardless of the make." And: >"Sorry, car." Gotta be the most dour F&F entry, but it has its moments. First half was great, love the cinematography especially—looks like an LA noir. Lost me a little in the second half though. How come we only got Han for like 2 seconds? (Side note: I just realized Vin Diesel and Keanu deliver their lines the same way: dead serious, totally committed, completely flat and emotionless. Cracks me up every time.)

They seem to be improving as I go through the series. At least someone gave Paul more direction for his character instead of just smiling and looking at the camera like an idiot in the 1st two. A little more substance. Plus the filming of the car scenes are also improving with less cheesy effects.
