Absolutely phenomenal, I loved this. Sally Field continues to just be pure magic. The chemistry between her and Lewis Pullman was incredibly charming and heartwarming. Bolstered by a rich and beautiful plot with pitch perfect pacing this is essentially a must watch. Highly Recommend
What a lovely, heartwarming movie. Haven't seen Sally Field for a long time and forgot what a wonderful actress she is...still. You won't regret watching this, I promise. The little twist at the end was, well, fantastic!
Remarkably Bright Creatures is a deeply touching and heartfelt film. It balances grief, isolation, and quiet hope with a warmth that never feels overly saccharine. The film does a fantastic job hiding the needle drop—weaving the clues of its central mystery so elegantly into the daily routines of the characters that the final revelations land with maximum emotional impact rather than feeling telegraphed. Sally Field and Lewis Pullman are great together; their oil-and-water dynamic evolves beautifully from initial workplace friction into a genuinely moving bond. But the absolute crown jewel of the film is the voice work: Alfred Molina’s voice is perfect as Marcellus. He strikes the exact right chord of dry, aristocratic disdain mixed with an underlying, protective tenderness that makes a CGI octopus the undeniable heart of the story. It’s a beautiful, life-affirming watch that rewards you for paying attention.
Absolutely a wonderful movie! Sallie Field is still a magical actress. Her and Lewis Pullman are brilliant together. Definitely a great family watch!
Remarkably Bright Creatures is designed to move the audience. There is genuine warmth in the relationships and Sally Field gives the film plenty of charm. But something this engineered rarely feels authentic. You can feel the emotional beats being carefully arranged, which makes the film difficult to fully connect with. Still, the story is hard to dislike, and the performances give it enough humanity to keep it engaging.
