I understand this man's enthusiasm, but once when I attended a lecture by André Kuipers at the theatre, it took so long that I was relieved when (I thought) it had ended, and shocked when he said it was intermission. I don't remember how long it lasted, but to my mind at least 3 hours. This film lasts an hour an 15 minutes, I could just about have that, I thought. Beautiful images, Vangelis, beautiful images, Vangelis, beautiful images, Vangelis, hey what's that? Oh too bad already gone, beautiful images of city lights from space....which cities are these? Oh again gone...nice, that cloud cover. A hurricane, impressive! Images of astronauts in the space station, what are they doing? And beautiful images of Earth again. An atmospheric moonset...what's that? The moon disappears like a ball disappearing into the sea. Hey, how about that? Thunder and lightning! Hey, is that the Netherlands on its side? Yes, beautiful. Is it over already? Oh no. We are faced with techno music by Armin van Buuren combined with some irritating images that you still see at night when you're in bed. Rest. And again that synthesiser music from Vangelis. Nice visuals, though. Finished. Phew.
