The Bruiquel cave was incredible, to think that pre-modern human structures can still exist is mind-blowing. I wonder though if the circle of stalagmites served a practical purpose as well, simply to stop toddlers wandering off into the cave in the dark? I always assume that if they can build something in stone then why not wood as well? It raised so many questions, fascinating.
