[Venice '24] Starring Caroline Larbère-Noguès, one of the few female bullfighters who practice the Course Landais, the short film describes the pressure she is under, the weight of a tradition in which women have not had a prominent presence, the masculinity that surrounds her and that misunderstood paternalism that translates into constant condescending protection. The directors reflect a sense of danger and tragedy transmitted through close-ups and music, maintaining a subtle boundary between reality and fiction, which is even crossed at the end.
