When I think about, not much really happens in the movie. But the tension and atmosphere make it one of the more effective and creepy horror movies I've seen in a while.

As much as I enjoyed the refreshing story, the tropes felt all over the place at times. And seriously, everyone just acting normal around a creepy ass wooden monster man figure?

3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Oddity’: 1. Who tf would EVER live in that house?! No thank you. 2. That tent scene was terrifying. I absolutely jumped, which doesn’t happen often. The whole home invasion thing… the way it unfolded… was very well done. 3. Yeah, some parts of this were a tad predictable… I also wish I hadn’t read the synopsis here, that didn’t help… but it’s the way the story was told that makes this film shine. Super suspenseful. I was unsettled for most of the time.

Atmospheric horror done right. Great acting, and tension throughout. Pacing slightly off in parts for my taste, but a strong 7.4 recommendation. A slow burn to be sure, but for fans of that this is excellent.
