[Annecy '24] The project long co conceived by director László Csáki, which emerged as an idea in 2006, has materialized into a vitalistic and fun animated documentary that is based on interviews with some of its protagonists, and that speaks of a time in which the possibility of traveling through Europe became a reflection of the need to cross borders to acquire knowledge. For those who had experienced political and social seclusion, it was worth taking the risk of being discovered by the railroad company and the police, as the system of counterfeiting tickets grew. Using animation for a documentary of this nature ends up being a wise decision, allowing the opportunity to pay tribute to the Czech director Jiří Menzel and reflecting the rebellion of a generation longing for freedom.
