An old writer arrives for a book festival and discovers he's been cancelled because a trans icon died, and he had some problematic declarations sometimes in the past. He goes into his bathtub and turns into a platypus. That's it. I mean someone comes in, and see the platypus in the bathtub. Nothing else happens. Was it supposed to be absurd ? It doesn't look like it. Does the platypus has anything to do with the social message ? Not even sure. There was something to do with the writer's situation (it did not start too badly on that). Or there was something to be done after he transforms, either from his pov or for the one that discovers him. Nothing.
