I really enjoyed the movie live action film, particularly the shot-by-shot scenes when compared to the comic. I also enjoyed the animated comic version, to a point, but I really think this is a fantastic way to portray the story, it was done very well.

@Boggon: I don’t get your comment cause in fact it is a two parts project. What do you think „chapter 1“ stand for?? There will be the second movie later this year…. @Cake: And what’s even cooler is that it follows the graphic novel created in the 80s. Amaaaazing ;-)

Frame for frame an animated version of Zack Snyder's Watchmen. I got bored but if I didn't know exactly what to expect, maybe I would have more intrested. My one complaint about the live-action version was the length and pacing. It was far too long for one sitting. They fixed that problem by creating chapters but I hope it it carries on for afew more. I say that because I didn't expect so much in chapter 1 alone. I still prefer the live-action since it was so insanely ahead of its time and is genuinely one of the best comic books. Guess I'm waiting for chapter 2 now.

Loved this! I also loved Zack Snyder's film adaptation, although it compared to the GN like James Cameron's blockbuster action Aliens compares to Ridley Scott's atmospheric horror Alien. This animated adaptation of the GN is true to the original and does it so well. Great artistry, the voices are fab, so much detail shows through. The electric cars, the nuclear countdown clock, the Black Freighter storyline crossovers... Can't wait for Chapter 2! I think Chapter 1 only covered the 1st 5 issues, will chapter 2 cover the remaining 7?
