A film with a striking duo, Delon and Ventura light up the screen just by being there, but unfortunately, that’s about all it has going for it. The script is uninspired, the pacing drags, and Joanna Shimkus’ character lacks depth or charm. It all feels strangely flat. Only François de Roubaix’s haunting, melancholic score breathes any real life into the film. A missed opportunity saved, briefly, by mood and star power.
