The movie is a major disappointment. It suffers from a confusing tone throughout, with fun moments treated seriously and serious moments handled in a lighthearted way. For instance, a character’s death in the second half is followed by an unnecessary song, only to cut to another character’s death and yet another irrelevant song. As a viewer, I was left confused about how to react or engage with these scenes. The runtime is excessively long. The music and BGM are generic and not what you expect in a Vijay's movie. Typically, Venkat Prabhu’s films have a distinctive youthful vibe, which is absent here. For example, “Saroja” effectively executed dark humor, but this film falls short. While there are some good cameos and a few high points, overall, it is a big letdown.
could have trimmed 1hr from the movie. the climax is totally dragged and useless.
This movie is a perfect example of how you can't rely on an actor's stardom to save the film when it lacks a good plot and execution. The story offers nothing new and the movie tries to make up for the story it lacks by riding the nostalgia train and offering a few cameos which ultimately fail to save this disaster of a movie. The emotional scenes were destroyed by the director himself by not letting the scenes make an impact that they could've. Apart from a few whistle worthy scenes that appeal to Vijay fans, this is a total waste of time.
You've gotta let this one cook but omg it delivers. The second half was fantastic.
Nothing new, Bollywood movies often show the same bad performance of acting. 👏
