Very much the feel of a traditional rom-com. Misunderstandings, family expectations, love winning over all. Some fun moments and some touching ones. Wish a couple emotional beats had a bit more time given to develop them, but I did laugh a lot and tear up a couple times. It’s a fun, charming time at the theatre. 😄

A nice gay rom com. Well made, enjoyable, nothing too unexpected. I did expect the mother to have more funny lines considering her background as a stand-up comedian. This film was made in 2023. Why did it take them so long to find a distributor?

The film beautifully navigates family dynamics, identity, and tradition, all wrapped up in a vibrant celebration of love. 8/10. It's sweet, it's spicy — what else? Watch it.

You have to be prepared for the cheesines, which was a bit too much for me at times, but overall it's a super fun and heartwarming movie. Especially the ending ! I wouldn't have minded seeing more of them together before the engagement though.

American rom-coms can be more miss than hit. If you like this I would recommend “Touch Pink” or “Tikka Masala”
