*holds up tiny movie* This is neat. I love this. It is almost perfect but I love the rough edges it has. I am going to put this on the shelve of movies I will wax lyrical for as long as I live and will enjoy watching people discover how good this is. It's taken a while for me to find a movie again that just tickles me in the right spot, but this one does it. There's two very fun shots in this, re: rollercoaster filming work. I love it I love it I love it!
A great 70s thriller. Fun to see George Segal and Helen Hunt at such a young age. This gets 2 extra points for all the 70s kitsch.
I rated this movie as "fair." For me, it wasn't the greatest disaster movie, however, it was good for it's time. Timothy Bottom was absolutely gorgeous when he was young. The destruction scenes appear to be amateurish, almost like watching buildings fall after Godzilla smacks them with it's tail. Although the bad guy got his just deserts, the ending was really lame in my opinion. I wouldn't exactly vote against watching this movie, but, if you do watch it, keep in mind that it's a seventies movie.
Solid disaster movie. It's more of a site slow-burn than its brethren, there's not much "action" to speak of, but that doesn't make it any less tense or thrilling. Segal and Bottoms are both great in it. Really holds up.
Perfectly good 70s disaster/terror movie. A good sunday afternoon. The band sparks play near the end which was a nice suprise.
