The film uses the American Civil War as a backdrop to explore the characters' relationship with the environment. Although set in a period of conflict, the focus is more on introspection and contemplative scenes, highlighted by beautiful cinematography. However, this approach ends up becoming excessive, as the pace of the film is extremely slow and draggy. Even when the narrative moves forward, little happens and the development of the characters remains shallow. This results in a general feeling of superficiality.

This is basically filmed historical re-enactment. It's a nice idea and I am sure people who like re-enactments will really like this. Not for me without a story.
