Yesterday I watched The Professor (1986). Only my third film by Giuseppe Tornatore who I don't really like as I hated Cinema Paradiso (1988). So I was surprised to find The Professor to be a masterpiece and thought I'd give this one a go as my evaluation of him might have been too harsh. And this film is known as one of his best. But no, I hated this too. How you can go from The Professor to Cinema Paradiso and this, I have no idea. Radically different in style and subject. I was bored out of my brains after the first ten minutes and I struggled to pay attention. It sucked so much I had trouble following it. I don't know what you are all seeing in it.
