_Ghosts of Christmas Always_ is a fun and exciting new take on the Charles Dickens classic. The story follows Kristine, a Ghost of Christmas Present, whose team is assigned to scrooge a young man who proves to be an unusual case that doesn’t fit the normal criteria. Leads Kim Matula and Ian Harding give strong performances and have good chemistry together. And there’s some clever meta humor about _A Christmas Carol_ and the various film versions that have been made. Additionally, the writers do a clever job at adapting the Dickens novel while also doing some fresh new things with it. Still, some of the dialog is weak and the low-budget shows through at times. Yet despite having a few problems, _Ghosts of Christmas Always_ is an incredibly entertaining and touching film that honors the spirit of Dickens novel.

i liked this movie, it was different from all the others and it was very enjoyable however i thought the end completely ruined it, [spoiler] it doens't make any sense that she came back from the dead and married her best friend's **grandson** of course it's just my opinion but it would have been so much more meaningful if she realized something about her life (or some other thing) and moved on to the afterlife [/spoiler]

Yet another remake of “A Christmas Carol” and I have to say it was a pretty sweet and charming one :)

A pretty good take on the classic Scrooge festive storyline. 'Ghosts of Christmas Always' features a cast that is, I'd say, a step up from the usual standard that Hallmark normally produce. Kim Matula and Ian Harding are good, I like how the latter's character is aware of the clichés and reimaginings of Scrooge from real life. Matula is joined as one of the ghosts by Reginald VelJohnson and Lori Tan Chinn, which is strong casting. I would've liked to have see more of them in truth, though both are still positive additions - particularly Chinn. Christopher Innvar is solid in his role too, even with the major Jonathan Hyde/Sam Parrish vibe his character had going on. They do well in connecting all the dots in the story, I especially enjoyed the stuff with Matula's Katherine (Marley... nicely done) and Liana Hunt's Betsey, which is rather sweet. The last chunk of the film is real nice, in fact. The music is also relatively neat, there's a bit of it that reoccurs and it kept reminding me of the main theme in 2004's 'The Polar Express'; which I adore, so every time I heard those similar notes here it did give me Xmas vibes. All in all, a more than watchable flick; one I'd happily revisit.
