Mary Shelley would roll over in her grave if she saw the travesty that’s been done with her character in I, Frankenstein. A demon named Naberius seeks to learn the secret to reanimating the dead by capturing the Frankenstein Monster so that he can resurrect a demonic army. The plot is pretty stupid and doesn’t use the Frankenstein story very well. And, the performances by Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, and Yvonne Strahovski are terrible. I, Frankenstein is an awful piece of garbage that bastardizes one of the greatest tales of horror in English literature.
I watched this one after reading the prequel comic (I, Frankenstein: Genesis), which I really liked. The movie was nowhere near as good as the comic though. Pretty good CGI sometimes, pretty bad other times. Didn't care for the crappy story progression at all. Too bad, they could've done so much better than this.
>"Horrified by his creation, he tried to destroy me, but I survived." On one hand, I am happy Hollywood still took chances on weird movies 10 years ago, but really... why was this made. It truly stinks. I can be more lenient on a bad story if there are cool scenes but it just looks awful too.
Brilliant B grade horror. Overacting, crazy makeup, CGI for the sake of it, lightning effects, loosely attached to a proper story, blonde scientist, Bill Nighy, this piece of rubbish has it all. And because of that, if you want enjoyable trash horror comedy, and have really low expectations, take a look - you might enjoy it
The story had potential but failed somewhat. It was an okay movie but I was expecting a lot more. Characters lacked depth, the plot was thin but the special effects were fantastic!
