What a truly excellent series. Can't wait for S2!
[Netflix] An apocalyptic B-film road-movie that as it develops is more Z-film. There is a tendency to gratuitous violence, and a misogynistic reading (women play a secondary or directly sexual role) characteristic of Russian productions. The virus is the least important in favor of a story about the struggle for survival. This is the most interesting of a tv-show that is skidding until crashing in an absurd ending.
The dubbed English voices were actually pretty well acted. I usually get irritated with dubbed voices but in this show it worked!
This was a really great take on the “virus/zombie” shows. Focus on characters. Loved it as much as The Walking Dead in its first few seasons. And there will be another season.
I do love this show, but in most episodes the dramatic soundtrack is the theme music of "time" movie... In credits there is no mention of Hans Zimmer :/
