This reminds me of The Decalogue in that each entry stands on their own, but the cumulative power of the whole thing is so enveloping. Especially in the sequence of entries that McQueen arranges, from the big-picture sweep of protest/courtroom struggle, creation of an intimate space for communal joy, the subtly insidious working of the system, showing a first stirring of activism, to giving a fighting hope for the next generations. Really moving and staggering. My ranking: 1. Lovers Rock 2. Mangrove 3. Red, White and Blue 4. Education 5. Alex Wheatle
