The first season of **Dummy** is an interesting concept, and one of few bright spots in **Quibi**'s introductory line up. The premise of the show is loosely based on the series creator **Cody Heller**'s experience with her then boyfriend (now fiancee) **Dan Harmon** (creator of **Community** and **Rick and Morty**). **Anna Kendrick** plays Cody, who in the opening scene discovers her boyfriend's sex doll. In this very "meta" and comically deranged first season, Cody names the doll Barbara who becomes her muse to a TV pilot she's developing. Consistent with **Quibi**'s offerings, each episode is about 6 to 8 minutes long. But for **Dummy**, this short runtime works very well. If you are short on attention, the episode will be over just as you are about to check the remaining runtime. I found each episode to be addictive enough to crave the next episode. But if I choose to take a break, each episode always ends with a satisfying mini climax. The material does get a bit thin towards the end, and there's one very clingy scenes with a teenage boy. Beyond Cody, the amount of story and characters are minimal. Dan in particularly is not developed much, as does her shrink and ever changing agents. This series is almost a monologue. Yet I found the concept to be pretty original, and feminist angle was handled very subtly and effectively. Sharp dialog and **Anna Kendrick**'s perfect comedic timing made this show an overall thumbs up for me.

This is a fun show. I honestly don't know what else I could say about it.

This was a surprisingly funny little gem, somewhere like a profane filled mix of Ted and Lars and the Real Girl. Definitely adult, definitely offensive, definitely crude, definitely waiting for more!
