I enjoyed this mini series, very Downton-esque, the surprise happens episode one. The story wraps up neatly in the end. If you like period dramas you should watch this.

I feel like the fact that the cast is quite old on average makes this series a bit boring. It needs more young blood. The Victorian era is such an interesting period. And the show Victoria is one of my favorite shows ever. This one, however, has been quite dull thus far. It's too Downton Abbey-esque, and not in a good way. After having finished it, I can confidently say this show is boring, and in the end, quite dumb. Would not recommend.

All the pieces were there, they just weren't put together very well.
