They made this *BS* because 'americans' can't understand proper English? All Top Gear franchises sucks, including Top Gear UK without the 3 dummies. #IMissGrandTourSoVeryMuch
I actually was starting to like Top Gear US but I guess when Rutlidge, Adam and Tanner started to get some chemistry and rhythm BBC must have decided they needed to be cancelled before they got some popularity. Then they grab 3 other people who will be awkward and terrible for a while. Rinse, repeat? I feel like I shouldn't struggle through another 2 - 3 seasons before this gets good and cancelled.
If you were expecting a US version of Top Gear UK, nope... Top Gear UK gave me automotive news, chit chat, and some adventures or whatever you want to call it. Some jokes in between and some worked. Cool. Here you have a Hollywood actor (knows what about cars?), a NASCAR driver (knows NASCAR cars) and some UK guy (that apparently knows about cars). When driving a new car as a test drive it feels like an advertisement. How great it is and fun and all that. No comparison to other cars in the class or standouts or something of essence. No, nothing. Just how much fun it is. Pointless. No laugh track but I just know they must have had more 'clap now' signs than people in the audience. I was happy if they didn't clap after a comma... And the US guys, of course, clapping themselves. And this was made by the BBC? PS What is up with Top Gear US and then Top Gear America? The US one was actually fun to watch. This one not.
