The first season is only 10 episodes long, a _**shorty** by US standards_. But if you enjoyed Fargo (_The TV Series_), you will most likely enjoy at least this first season. It’s no Fargo but shares some of it trade marked characteristics, like dark humor, stoicism and a feeling that not even the screenwriters will make beyond the season’s finale while there is a sense of purpose to everything that occurs well within the boundaries of the story line and the season finale depicting a coherent end to the season story... Although, in this case, you wouldn’t mind getting some more. I would recommend to watch it to those Fargo fans waiting for a new season of the masterpiece, I don’t think they will be disappointed.
Can't decide which is more hilarious.. when dude gets his fake eyebrow ripped off and slapped back on in the Rock's eyebrow raise bahahaha dyin or when dude is talkin shit and gets Stockton slapped with a hot pop tart ohhhhhhhhh lmao
Good show. If you can believe 1 man can be a wrecking ball within organised crime and Hollywood.
Decent show. Good entertainment value. Though it's very slow & everything moves so slowly. There are few episodes where things move at a good speed but over all slow. Amara character makes no sense. The writer did not devote anytime to building her background so you're sitting there thinking who the hell is this lady & why does every character in the show fear her. It would be one thing if she was in handful of episodes but that's not the case, she's in almost every episode. I would recommend watching this show for the entertainment value but don't expect anything at the level of Fargo tv show. Also, it wont keep you at the edge of your seat.
It's a shame this show didn't get a higher profile/more awards love during its run, it's a travesty Lidia Porto got NOTHING for her great turn as Amara, it's a crying shame the lower profile/unknown actors on this show (Lidia Porto, Megan Stevenson, Goya Robles) weren't booking a million jobs after this show. One of the best under-the-radar hidden gems during the Peak TV Era.
