OMG!!! This show is sooo awesome!!!! Love cartel related shows!

I started watching this and thought "ohh, i might like this show!" but then, after it went into this whole, slightly exhausting "how it all began…"-flashback in the first episode — and then the next episode and the next, I realised that the ENTIRE SHOW _is_ the flashback / background story to some very captivating first minute teasers. I then continued to watch it for a few more episodes, in desperate hopes of FINALLY getting back to the good bits, but I'm finding myself more and more annoyed / bored / impatient with it and will probably leave it at that. For me it's a case of having gotten seriously misled by a certain kind of aesthetic and then underwhelmed dramatically.

This series rises and falls on the performance of Alice Braga. Her portrayal of her character and her struggles really captured me, as she just tries to survive the violence, greed and drugs of the world she into which she was born. After I was hooked, It seemed an eternity between each new season, and although it was sad to see it conclude, I’m pretty sure I will binge it all again, when the streaming services catch up and drop the fifth season. I give this series a 10 (favourite) out of 10. [Crime Drama]

Decent first episode. Good production value. Should be interesting to see if the series continues to deliver beyond the pilot.
