I liked the first season, but the second one is even better. Torv plays excellent and the plot is really good. Some parts are still a bit mysterious. Why is the relationship with her mother so difficult...? Maybe in another season. Let's do hope so. A bit Homeland-like, but not so dark. Only six episodes.

Fun show, but they've taken huge creative liberties when it comes to anything technological. Contacts haven't been stored on SIM cards for at least 10 years before the first season came out. The same goes for text messages. You can't crack encryption on a laptop, unless you're willing to wait a 1000 years. Storage capability of SIM cards is extremely limited, so it's impossible to store
video files
on it. Emails can't destroy themselves. And the list goes on...

Australian political thriller with genuine teeth. Canberra's institutional world rendered with insider credibility. Anna Torv carries the investigative logic effortlessly. Underappreciated outside its home territory.

Despite my high rating I have a mixed bag of feelings about this. The first season was really good. Political intrigues, spies, conspiracies - it had everything I hoped for. The second season in itself wasn't bad either but it's not really a continuation. There is a gap in the story and open questions from season one are left hanging in the air. That threw me of a bit as I was still looking for continuation before I excepted the season two plot on its own. Both seasons stories feel eerily believable in todays climate but the second felt more constructed. And there are elements in both that seemed to be there for no reason at all. It was nice, for a change, to not have the usual holier-than-thou attitude of US shows. This isn't a fast paced action show. If you're looking for that you are at the wrong place. It's slow in developing it's plot, you need to be patient. Overall I think it is worth watching If you're into this stuff. If there is to be another season I hope it's not going to take years again.
