It took me a while to get into this and I do think the title misleads you which creates an anticipation that is never fulfilled. You will not see the Titanic leave Southampton (well, in like the last second and it's not even Southampton), and while there are aspects surrounding its build that are addressed and shown, this isn't so much a mini series about the construction of the Titanic. It's much more about the current climate in Belfast at the time, the condition of workers and the always escalating tension between catholics and protestants. The casting is mostly great, though do not be misled by the cover either: Neve Campbell nor Chris Noth are in this much. Maybe a few minutes in three/four episodes. The main actors, you can see listed below in trakt.tv. These are the ones you see on screen. The Silvestri sisters bring much joy and delight on screen, Kevin Zegers feels a little weak amongst the likes of Derek Jacobi and others but he's solid enough to keep watching. Overall, a fair period drama that will not change your life or will mark you forever but an interesting one to better grasp the context of the time period.

An epic historical drama, _Titanic: Blood & Steel_ is a compelling television miniseries. Set during the construction of the RMS _Titanic_ at the Harland & Wolff shipyard, the show follows the lives of steelworkers, secretaries, and engineers as they work to build the largest ship in the world amidst the religious and political tensions of the day. The cast is pretty strong (especially Kevin Zegers and Alessandra Mastronardi), and they do a good job at portraying their characters; both historical and fictional. Additionally, the special effects, set designs and costumes are extraordinarily well-done, creating an incredibly realistic depiction of turn of 20th century Belfast. _Titanic: Blood & Steel_ takes a lot of liberties, but also does a fantastic job at mixing historical events and character drama.

I really like this period shows that center around actual history. And I liked this one, it is much better than it´s rating suggests. Althought the title is a little misleading. This isn´t so much about how the Titanic was build, you actually see very little of that. It´s more about the life and times in Belfast around the time she was build. It´s about class and religious differences which I thought to be very interesting. And it´s only about 100 years removed from today and what has really changed ? Yes, the CGI isn´t up to date but acting is really good. They casted the characters very well and I think this to be more important.
