This episode probably has some of Sam Reid's best acting on the show so far, and that's saying a lot. Bruce deserved a longer drawn out death, tbh. And then Louis going to the restaurant to see not!Claudia right after made me tear up.

This episode is the best of the season so far, it delves into and takes its own spin on many of the things I feared we were glossing over from The Vampire Lestat (the book) after watching episode one and two. This was a really emotional and layered way of showing Lestat's tragedies and traumatic experiences while not getting exploitative. Sam Reid's performance was amazing as well. Lestat's version of the balcony scene was priceless.
