I absolutely love The League! So sad it's in its final season. Even if you're not american (like me) and enjoy football it's really an amazing well written comedy. And the guest stars are awesome too

The downside to this show, was bringing in NFL players way to often. it made it very unrealistic. Other than that there were def some very funny parts and the characters are great.

The TV series is about football fantasy, a group of friends who compete in a private league. It is surprisingly good I have seen it at least twice, it is a must watch, especially for those who like fantasy games or football. Having the friends over and a little competition is the best summary. --- 2.3 points -> Acting and Characters (0-3) 1.6 points -> Plot development (0-2) 1.5 points -> Cinematography (0-2) 0.9 points -> originality (0-1) 0.9 points -> Based on Genre / Theme (0-1) 0.9 -> Overall Quality (0-1) Aka. 8.1 points +0.9 points == 9!!! They deserve it. I wish I had continued.

The way all the plot strands have been joining together in the third series are practically masterful.

One of the most boring, unfunny comedies i've ever had the displeasure to watch. The jokes aren't funny, the characters very unlikeable and not to mention most times they're terrible at acting. This literally feels like a group of friends that managed to get a TV channel to film them doing whatever they felt like. They try sooo hard to make the characters be something "real' but it's sooo shallow that its embarassing. At first the only slightly likeable character is Pete but soon enough it gets old very fast. Then Andre kinda steals the show for a bit with the [spoiler]overly "clueless virgin"[/spoiler] but it also gets old very quickly. That happens because every single episode is a nostalgia fest of the previous one: same jokes, just using different words. Kevin is the most shallow character i've seen in a long time, theres nothing to like about him nor his "thing" with his wife when she [spoiler]starts to join the League[/spoiler]. They really try to make it funny repeating the same joke over and over again, like those vapid comedy shows with laugh and clap tracks on queue, but since they dont have those its just bland. Ruxin, at least, is a character with some depth but the guy is [spoiler]insufferable [/spoiler]to a point it becomes tiring watching him, weirdly its the only character really worth mentioning. Taco is just... can't even say anything, the acting is terrible, boring, adds nothing, every scene he comes on is the same boring thing [spoiler]"ohhh... i am little stoopid and silly but i'm good looking so girls like me".[/spoiler] I started to watch this thinking it was going to be something wayy over the top funny cause i saw some videos of, i'm guessing, newer seasons with very funny actors like Jason Mantzoukas, and went ahead and gave it a try. I think i've watched maybe 2 episodes with him on it, but even then it's not that funny. They try to force the "funnies" into the series because they cant be funny or at least comedical. Unless you're like a manchild or still think 2000's cringe jokes are funny there's literally nothing worth wasting your time here. Needles to say i've only managed to watch two seasons, i dont know if it gets any better, but it really doesnt look like it, i watched a couple of scenes of season 3 and looks exactly like the other ones. I almost stopped on the first season, but i was thinking "its the first season it usually isnt THAT great". But oh boy it really doesnt get any better. Not to say there's absolutely nothing funny in the show, but nobody lives off scraps.
