Based on the first 3 episodes and comparing this anime series to it's original manga, Heavy Knight anime is an important supplement to the manga and vise versa. Some areas are clearer manga and the transitional animation complete the missing transition lost in manga. In short, the very expensive 2D over 3D with enhanced motion is clearly at cinematic quality. This series is a contender of the best animation series of 2026, along side of Frieren and Sentenced to be a Hero.
